After 6.00pm each evening and at weekends, the practice is covered for emergencies by South Eastern HSS Trust.

Home Visits

A request for a home visit should be made before 10.00am. Home visits are made on the basis of clinical need, for patients who are too frail to come to the surgery.

The Reception staff are members of the practice team and it has been agreed they should ask patients specific questions in order to ensure that you receive:

: the most appropriate medical care, from the most appropriate health professional and at the most appropriate time.

Reception staff, like all members of the team are bound by confidentiality rules.  Any information given by you us treated strictly confidentially.

THE PRACTICE IS CURRENTLY A 'PRACTICE IN CRISIS' DUE TO REDUCTION IN CLINICAL STAFF.

Telephone Consultations will no longer be available

If you require a Gp Consultation you should contact Reception from 8.30am Mon to Frid, where you will be offered a face to face consultation appointment on that day.  BOOK AHEAD OPTION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

If the Practice is at full safe capacity for the day you may be asked to telephone the next day or advised of alternative options.  

If you require 'urgent medical attention' at any time of the day please advise the receptionist when you telephone. Staff will ask for some details about the nature of your call to ensure they can signpost you to the correct person in a timely manner.

Our practice will offer Pre bookable routine appointments.  These can be booked up to 14 dys in advance.

If you require medical attention on the day, please telephone The Surgery between 8.30am & 11.00am where Telephone consultations will be available with a Gp.

YOU MAY BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE PRACTICE NURSE OR HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT.  IF YOUR DOCTOR HAS ADVISED YOU  NEED A SPECIFIC TEST UNDERTAKEN. STAFF WILL CHECK THE REASON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT WHEN YOU RING SO THEY CAN ENSURE YOU ARE BOOKED INTO THE CORRECT CLINIC.

NON ATTENDERS - PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE A HIGH RATE OF NON ATTENDERS CURRENTLY. PLEASE VALUE YOUR APPOINTMENT!!!

You may receive an Text reminder for some Nurse clinics, this will allow an option to cancel your appointment via a link if you are unable to attend. If you do not receive a text, and find you are unable to attend, please telephone The Surgery 02891810044 to cancel your appointment to allow another patient to avail of the service.
